LESSON 3 : LEADING LINE COMPOSITION IN SILSILA MOVIE


Those of you who have seen my earlier two posts must by now have got some idea about Leading Line Composition in Photigraohy and Cinematography. Let's now have a look at the picturization of The song “Dekha ek khwaab to yeh silsiley huye” in the Hindi film Silsila written, directed and produced by Yash Chopra. It is a love triangle movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Rekha which was released way back in 1981. It has been pictured at the Tulips garden of Netherlands. THEORY Leading lines are a compositional technique where human-made or natural lines lead the viewer's eyes through a photograph to the subject or the heart of the image, You will find them on Bridges , Rivers , Roads, Gardens and monuments and many places. Your skill lies in identifying them and shooting them ACTION ( What you have to Do) Go to the best garden in your city and try to shoot a 30 second video using Leading Line Composition.
