In my last post on Linkedin we learnt the importance of Symmetry in Smartphone filmmaking and photography.
A quick recollection of last lesson and we move further. When a photograph or a video is taken keeping symmetry in mind then they look appealing.
What is a symmetry? If you draw a straight line in the middle of the photo you will notice that the two halves are the mirror image of one another.
Symmetry creates a visual harmony for the eyes. Symmetry can be of three types—Vertical Symmetry, Horizontal Symmetry and Radial Symmetry.

In photography symmetry appears when parts of your composition mirror other parts. It is created when two halves of your scene look the same and balance each other out ACTION ( What you have to Do) Go to any beautiful monument in your city with your smartphone and take some still photos. Then take 30 second videos of the same. If you are in Mumbai, you could shoot Gateway of India, in Pune you could should Shaniwarwada and in Hyderabad you could shoot Charminar.
TIPS Better to shoot in the morning or evening when the sun is not very harsh.
