This is my Second Micro Lesson on Smartphone Filmmaking. We are learning COMPOSITION and the Sub topic is LEADING LINES.
In my previous post you saw how we can use LEADING LINES to get beautiful angles for Smartphone Filmmaking. The examples that I gave was predominantly of straight lines visible from the object that you want to shoot. The same principle can also be applied to CURVED LINES.
In case you have missed my earlier post, please read it and then come back to this lesson for better clarity.
So whether you are-standing on the periphery of Marine Lines in Mumbai , a beautiful lake or a spiral staircase, choose an angle from where the curved lines are clearly visible and then shoot.
Please remember ACTION and PRACTICE are very important. So please act on these suggestions to enhance your skill. We will learn and practice One Technique in a week. My lessons will have THREE components One is THEORY , the second is ACTION and the third is TIPS. The First one ie in Theory I will be explaining the concept and in the Second one is ACTION which you can do, The third one is TIPS which you can follow.

THEORY
1. LEADING LINES COMPOSITION
Leading lines are a compositional technique where human-made or natural lines lead the viewer's eyes through a photograph to the subject or the heart of the image, You will find them on Bridges , Rivers , Roads, Gardens and monuments and many places. Your skill lies in identifying them and shooting them
ACTION ( What you have to Do)
Identify monuments or lakes in your where you can get a perspective of CURVED LEADING LINES. Now shoot some still images and 30 second video .
TIPS
Before you shoot, make it a habit to clean the lens of tour Smart phone with a soft cloth. You will get much better results.
Children these days are getting addicted to unhealthy contents on the Smartphones. Why not share these lessons with them? We could lead them to a creative journey.
